Abstract

PURPOSE: To unconstly compact a structure by putting a large diameter part formed at the end of a driving shaft, in contact with one end face of one of two full float bearings which are disposed oppositely inside a support of a supercharger and bearing a thrust load by means of its body by the medium of a collar member which is disposed between said bearings.
CONSTITUTION: A body 1 of a supercharger is interposed between a turbine case 2 and a compressor case 3 and a support 8 of a driving shaft 10 is centered in the body 1. Side full float bearings 101, 102 capable of freely turning and an intermediate collar member 103 are inserted inside the support 8. A large diameter part 13 formed at one end of the driving shaft 10 and a washer 17 attached to the other end are capable of contacting one end face of the bearing 101 and one end face of the bearing 102, respectively. Due to the resultant direct contact of the bearings 101, 102 with the large diameter part 13 and the washer 17 which are turned along with the driving shaft 10, an ordinary special thrust bearing plate may be eliminated, thereby achieving the required purpose.
