Abstract

PURPOSE: To make a flexible ragging that can be formed into any shape to be applied to a pulley having any diameter, by curing a material consisting of a metal oxide covered with phenol resin or the like mixed into rubber to form a sheet.
CONSTITUTION: The material consisting of a metal oxide covered with a thermosetting resin such as phenol resin or the like is mixed into masticated rubber, the resulting mixture is formed into a sheet, and the sheet is press cure to obtain the flexible ragging material 7 having rubber elasticity that can be formed into any shape. As said ragging material 7 is flexible and deformable, it can be applied on the pulley 8 having any diameter. Further more, as it can be cured in the form of a sheet, a mold having a different diameter in compliance with a pulley is not required, and therefore it can be formed with ease, and in addition the sheet can be to be stored so that the inventory control is simple.
