Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain bearings having large load while eliminating the need for guide bearings, and to improve the accuracy of control by mounting a plurality of the magnetic bearing devices with annular concave grooves concentrical to a shaft and connecting a controller to one among the devices. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of magnetic bearing devices 10 consisting of rotatory magnetic plates 7 fitted to the shaft 4, fixed magnetic plates 8 mounted at the fixed side and exciting coils 9 set up to the fixed magnetic plates 8 are installed to both shaft end sections of the shaft 4. The annular concave grooves 7a concentrical to the shaft 4 are formed previously at positions corresponding to the exciting coils 9 at the fixed side in the rotatory magnetic plates 7. The excitation controller 11 is connected to one 10a among these magnetic bearing devices 10. Accordingly, the rotary electrodynamic machine resists large load because a plurality of magnetic bearing devices 1 are used even when the capacity of each magnetic bearing device 10 is not increased, and the bearing devices can be employed in combination with the guide bearings by the annular concave grooves 7a.
