Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily obtain an electrode frame with high dimensional accuracy by applying crystalline low melting point frit glass on the necessary electrode plate surface by means of screen print and bonding a plural number of electrode plates, keeping their mutual insulation. CONSTITUTION:Crystalline low melting point glass frits 3 and 8 are applied on the proper surface other than the region of penetrating holes 2 and 7 through which an electron beam passes on one surface of electrodes 1 and 6 consisting of Ni-Cr-Fe at which the penetrating holes 2 and 7 are spaced at regular intervals, respectively, by the screen print method. An electron beam control electrode 4 with a penetrating hole 5 is inserted at the position which corresponds to the penetrating holes 2 and 7 of the electrode plate in a sandwich form and proper pressure is applied to it. The electrode is kept at the crystallization temperature of the crystalline low melting point glass frit, bonded and cured. As a result, an electrode frame with high dimensional accuracy can be easily be manufactured.
