Abstract

PURPOSE: To synthesize the titled zeolite havng high molar ratio of SiO2/Al2O3, by crystallizing from a reaction mixture containing an alkali metal compound, allyl-tripropylammonium, an Si compound, an Al compound and water.
CONSTITUTION: An alkali metal compound and allyltripropylammonium are used as reaction bases, and a mixture containing the bases, an Si compound, an Al compound, and water, is made to react at sufficiently high temperature and pressure for sufficiently long period to produce crystalline aluminosilicate zeolite, and the reaction product is crystallized. The crystalline product is separated from the reaction medium by filtration and washing with water. If necessary, the crystals are dried and calcined. The crystalline aluminosilicate zeolite obtained by the process has high SiO2/Al2O3 molar ratio, and changes its crystal structure by calcination.
