Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide titled steel that can satisfy mechanical properties and X- ray transmission ability of weld metal as well as welding workability, etc. by specifying the welding wire and flux to be used. CONSTITUTION:In submerged arc welding for low temp. steel, a welding wire consists of >=60% Ni, >=10% Cr, <=1% C, <=2% Si, <=15% Fe, and 0.001-0.05% N. As sintered type flux, 5-40% MgO, 5-40% metal carbonate, 5-50% metal fluoride, <=20% SiO2, and <=15% TiO2 are contained, and besides, >=2 kinds of alloy components selected from the group consisting of 8.2-30% Nb, 22.5-50% Mn, <=8% Al, <=8% Ti, <=5% Si, <=3% C, <=30% Ni, <=10% Cr, <=10% Mo, <=10% W and contg. Nb and Mn, are contained, wherein grain sizes are kept at <=100 meshes and the ratio that the total amt. of the alloy components occupy in the entire part of the flux is kept at <=60%.
