Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate a specific master controller and to reduce the overhead, by providing a timer which is reset to an initial value with each passing of the frame information, on each of plural data transmitters. CONSTITUTION:Each of plural data transmitters 2 connected to loop transmission line 1 (1-IN and 1-OUT) carries out a relaying action when it acquires no right for transmission. The signal sent from the line 1-IN is demodulated by a demodulating circuit 20, and the data and the clock are delivered to signal lines 101 and 102 respectively. A selector circuit 40 selects either the relaying action or the transmission of data for the transmitter 2, and this circuit 40 is controlled by a control circuit 50. The circuit 50 continues the timing while a request is produced for transmission and contains a timer which is set to the initial value with each detection of the transmission right frame. Then the specific frame information is transmitted when the timing value of the timer exceeds a certain value. This frame information makes a round of the transmission line and is detected at the receiver side to acquire the right for transmission.
