Abstract

PURPOSE: To smoothen the flow of water and discharge of soil and sand for preventing the erosion of slope by a method in which linear vertical waterways are joined with cross waterways in such a way that they can join with each other with a steep angle toward the linear vertical waterways in order to avoid overflowing from the cross waterways.
CONSTITUTION: Linear vertical waterways 13 are provided on a slope at nearly repose angle of soil, and cross waterways 14 which are almost horizontal in the harthest portion from the vertical waterways but of increasingly and downwardly steeped angles toward the vertical waterways are joined with the vertical waterways 13. The waterways consists of a concrete block 15 composed of a trunk portion 16 of a "ko"(Japanese:katakana,2533)-shaped cross section and a branch portion 17 of a J-shaped cross section, branched upwardly and slantly from both sides of the trunk portion 16, and a block 20 of a J-shaped cross section, forming the cross waterways.
