Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable only an explosive and a cell to be replaced easily by a method wherein an explosive, used for breaking a plate sealing up a cylinder containing a compressed fluid, and a seawater cell for setting off the explosive are encased in respective cartridges, and the cartridges are removably fitted to a main body.
CONSTITUTION: A needle 119 for breaking through the sealing plate 113 of the cylinder 111 containing a compressed fluid is provided for the main body 112 together with a base 118 mounting the needle 119, and is held in an operating position by a stopping member 160 so that it can be operated either manually through a lever 114 or by the explosion of the explosive 155. The explosive 155 is charged in an explosive cartridge 153, which is removably fitted to the main body 112 together with a cartridge of the seawater cell 120 for setting off the explosive 155. When the base 118 is in an non- operating position, a chamber 157 communicating with a float and a small hole 158 communicating with the outside air are connected to each other. On the other hand, when the base 118 is in the operating position, the small hole 138 is closed by a ring part 159 to isolate the float and the outside air from each other. In addition, an explosive 136 is set off by the seawater cell 122 to eject a rod 132 outwardly, thereby releasing the rod 132 from a clamp 131 and setting the float free.
