Abstract
PURPOSE:To make only a specific color vivid to obtain a high-quality picture on the screen, by controlling the level of one color difference signal to a higher value only when this level is higher than a prescribed value and levels of other color difference signals are lower than the prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:In case of emphasis of a red color, the level of a color difference signal R-Y from a color demodulator is detected by a level detector 21, and a high-level detection signal A is generated if this level is higher than a prescribed value. Levels of rest color difference signals B-Y and G-Y are detected by level detectors 22 and 23, and outputs are applied to a two-input NOR gate 24, and a detection signal B is generated if both levels are lower than the prescribed value. The signal A and the high-level signal B are inputted to a two-input AND gate 25 to output a high-level control signal, and the gain of a gain control circuit 26 is increased to increase the level of only the signal R-Y. Thus, the cathode current of a CRT is increased by a red output circuit to emphasize only a red color.
