Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a plastic working oil compsn. for metals, which is in a state stably dispersed in water and has good adherability, by incorporating a solid lubricating component, an anionic high-molecular dispersant and a polyoxyethylene type surfactant into a liquid component.
CONSTITUTION: A working oil compsn. contains a lubricating oil component composed of a liquid component selected from mineral oil, fats and oils and a fatty ester and a solid component selected from solid lubricants having an average paticle size of 0.01W200μ, and a water-soluble dispersant selected from an anionic high-molecular dispersant having an MW of 250W25,000 and a polyoxyethylene type surfactant having an MW of 3,000W20,000 and an HLB of 18 or above, said solid component being insoluble in said liquid component and being incorporated into said liquid component. Examples of said solid component are graphite, sulfur and molybdenum disulfide. The preferred amount of the solid component to be incorporated into the liquid component is 0.1W20wt% based on the amount of the lubricating oil component. Pref. the water-soluble dispersant is used in an amount of 0.5W20wt% based on the amount of the lubricating oil component.
