Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a heat sensitive recording head with high density and excellent property easily as well as inexpensively by a method wherein a conductive wire is wound around an insulative base plate and, thereafter, a heat generating resistor thin film layer is formed in a special constitution. CONSTITUTION:At first, one conductive wire is wound on an outer periphery of an insulative base plate 1 at a predetermined pitch and, subsequently, in such a manner that a front leading end 1a of the base plate 1 is exposed, other part is coated with a plating resist to form a coated part 8. Next, a heat generating resistor thin film layer 4 comprising Ni-Cr or the like is formed on the aforementioned exposed part by electroless plating or the like and, subsequently, the coated part 8 is removed. Next, an adhesive 3 is coated to a part of a top and a back surfaces of the base plate 1 to adhere said one conductive wire 2 to the top and the back surfaces of the base plate 1 and, thereafter, an insulated wire is cut at a back surface side of the base plate 1 to bring the conductive wire 2 to an independent condition every one winding respectively. An abrasion resistant layer 5 such as glass or the like is formed thereon and, thereafter, a protective package 6 is formed on the top and the back surfaces of the base plate 1 by heating or the like.
