Abstract
PURPOSE:To control variation of injecting characteristics of an ink droplet by applying an image signal synchronized by a clock signal with a predetermined cycle to always coincide the phase of residual vibration and main vibration. CONSTITUTION:An input image signal A is synchronized with a clock signal B with a predetermined cycle by a delay type flip-flop 10 and, based on timing of a synchronized image signal C, treated by an AND gate Ag, a substraction circuit 15, a wave shaping circuit 16 or the like. The timing of a sine wave like drive signal applied to an ink droplet injecting apparatus 18 is synchronized with the clock signal B. At the informationless period T the residual vibration is generated for the synchronized image signal C only and the period of signal C is kept in the fold of integer of clock signal. The residual vibration is synchronized by the clock signal. Thereby after the informationless period T is passed, the phase of residual vibration coincides with the main vibration applied the image signal C and the stable injecting characteristics of an ink droplet are obtained.
