Abstract

PURPOSE:To operate a thermal fuse accurately by providing a thermal heater for stopping electric power supply to a heater by fusing when the temp. of a heating roller rises abnormally high within a high heat conductive material in sliding contact with the surface of the heating roller. CONSTITUTION:A thermal fuse 5 is buried in a high heat conductive material 7 in sliding conact with the surface of a heating roller 2, so that heat is transmitted directly from the surface of the roller 2 to the fuse 5. Thereby, the influence of ambient temps., installation positions and contamination by toners or the like is eliminated and the fixing device operates accurately against anomalous temps.
