Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the fact from recording only picture information by providing a lock mechanism which is capable of fetching a recording medium only when the picture information and an index information is recorded extactly in the recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A picture information P is stored in an RAM2 by a two-dimensional scanner 1, and its contents are field in a magnetic tape loaded in a magnetic tape device 4 in order by a control device 3. Also, when a series of files is finished, an index information which is inputted from a keyboard 5 and is stored in an RAM6 is filed in said magnetic tape. On the magnetic tape device 4, a lock mechanism 7 by which fetch of a cassette is locked until recording of the index information each is provided. The lock mechanism 7 is constituted, for instance, of a mechanism by which a curved part 22a of an eject driving member 22 is locked by a pin 16a of an aluminum plate 16, since a solenoid 19 is energized until the index information is recorded in the magnetic tape 14.
