[Also in Divisions G2 and H1] A member, in sheet, tape, plate or like form, capable of recording both acoustic and optical information comprises a support laminated or coated with a magnetizable layer on one side and with a layer on the other side of a polymer capable of being cross-linked and rendered insoluble by light, the layers being of the same width and extending across the entire width or a large proportion of the width of the support. Various plastics and other materials such as metals and glass are proposed for the support, and the magnetizable layer may be of various ferromagnetic metals or alloys or of dispersions of such materials in a binder. The photocrosslinkable material may be a polymer or copolymer of vinyl alcohol, a copolymer of styrene containing hydroxyl groups, or cyclorubber, containing cinnamic acid ester groups, azido or sulphazido groups. The support, or a layer between the support and either the photosensitive or the magnetizable layer, may be pigmented, e.g. with titanium dioxide.
