In this case, the circuit 51 stores each state of copying conditions (such as the selection state of copy concentration, the selection state of a paper supply cassette, the selection state of the copying magnification ratio, the display state of number of copy sheets, etc.) during the consecutive copying into an RAM52, and then displays ''1'' at a set sheet number display device 41 and a copy sheet number display device 42 respectively to ensure the standard state during application of power supply. After the interrupted copying is over, the circuit 51 reads each state shunted from the RAM to reset switches 33-36 plus display devices 41 and 42 to the state set before the interruption respectively.
