Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a stable commutation margin angle control for a commutatorless motor by a method wherein the minimum of the commutation margin angles digitally detected in a prescribed period of time is compared with a predetermined commutation margin angle and a lead angle is computed for determining control to counter the deviation. CONSTITUTION:The commutation margin angle of a commutatorless motor is digitally measured every 60 electrical degrees by a commutation margin angle detecting circuit 6, the value obtained thereby supplied together with the output (d) of a selective circuit 9 and a determined commutation margin angle gammaref to an arithmetic unit 7. The arithmetic unit 7, on receiving a sample signal (signal of an electrical angle of 60 deg. in the motor) that establishes the initial value, inputs a detected commutation margin angle gammaf in the zero address and then inputs the outputted value of (d) or the gammaref, and then computes the deviation of the commutation margin angle by scanning the addresses zero through (d) for the small value gammaf(min) and determines the lead angle beta0 to be used for controlling. Then the gammaf storage is moved to a place on address down, the arithmetic unit 7 ready to receive a next sample signal. In this way, the beta0 is determined always in reference to the minimum of the gammaf values.
