CONSTITUTION:Model 9 and 10 are provided to detect the fault of arithmetic part 1 and the operation detection part each. Comparator 11 is provided to obtain difference epsilon3 of the output between model 9 and corresponding part 1, and comparator 12 is for obtaining difference epsilon2 of the output between model 10 and the corresponding operation detection part respectively. Then in case the difference epsilon3 and epsilon2 are out of each limit value set respectively, whether or not the model correction is possible is decided at decision part 13 according to the degree of drift against the average value of difference. And in case the correction is possible, model correction 14 is carried out with a fixed time via the signal obtained from the object of the fault detection. Thus, the optimum fault detection becomes possible at all times.
