Abstract
PURPOSE: To increase the concn. of product gaseous O2 and the yield by connecting an adsorption tower after a desorption process to a pressure equalizing tank, introducing an O2-enriched gas in the tank into the tower to equalize the tank and the tower in pressure, and carrying out an adsorption process in the tower.
CONSTITUTION: An adsorption process is carried out in an adsorption tower 1, and simultaneously a desorption process is conducted in an adsorption tower 2. After finishing the desorption process, an O2-enriched gas is slowly introduced into the tower 2 kept under atmospheric pressue from a pressure equalizing tank 3 in a pressurized state to equalize the tower 2 and the tank 3 in pressure. Then, in the tower 2 adsorption is carried out, and in the tower 1 desorption is conducted to exhaust 26 N2 desorbed from an adsorbent in the tower 1.
