Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve a higher performance of an apparatus by sealing a clearance between a cooling unit carrying an infrared detection element and a cold shield with an insulating shielding adhesive to prevent the incidence of stray light therefrom into the element. CONSTITUTION:A clearance between the inner surface at the bottom of a cold shield 8 arranged surrounding a cooling unit 4 carrying an infrared detected element 3 and a lead drawing section from the outer rim thereof 4 is sealed with an insulating shielding adhesive 12. This easily checks the incidence of stray light from the clearance 10 area into the infrared rays detection element 3. This prevents the deterioration in the performance of the device due to the stray light thereby improving the performance thereof.
