Abstract
PURPOSE:To decrease the length of the lead wire of a switch and to avoid a disconnection of wire, etc., by provind an actuator which detects a sheet on the conveying path to the rotatable upper machine boyd and at the same time installing a switch at the main body side. CONSTITUTION:An actuator 11 which detects the presence or absence of a sheet on the copy sheet conveying path is born in a rockable way to the side of a rotatable upper machine body 2. While a microswitch 14 is installed at the side of a copier main body 1. When a copy sheet S travels, the actuator 11 rocks and accordingly a working arm 13 also rocks to turn on the switch 14. Thus the passing of the sheet S is detected. When the switch 14 has no operation, the switch is coupled to a timer to display the occurrence of a jam. In such way, no leading is required for the lead wire led from the switch 14 along the body 2 to decrease the length of the wire. Thus a disconnection of wire and other defects can be avoided.
