Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce pressure loss at the time of flowing-in and -out of an operation fluid by a method wherein the opening of each of intake and exhaust holes communicating with a drive chamber in a cylinder in which a rotor is housed is made to be of a plurality of grooves formed in the inner surface of the drive chamber and separated in the circumferential direction in spaced apart relationship with each other.
CONSTITUTION: The vane type motor has such a structure that the drive chamber 3 is provided in the cylinder 1, the rotor 2 is fixed eccentrically toward the side of the intake and exhaust holes 4 and 5 and the vanes of the rotor 2 come into substantially pressure contact with the inner surface of the drive chamber 3 as the rotor rotates. In this case, the opening of each of the intake and exhaust holes are made to be a couple of lines of grooves 7 formed in the inner surface of the drive chamber 3 and separated in the radial direction in spaced apart relationship with each other. With the above structure, it is possible to reduce pressure loss resulting from the expansion and contraction of the operation fluid at the intake and exhaust holes 4 and 5, to thereby increase the efficiency of the motor.
