Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the yeild of recovered gases and widen the range of incineration or thermal decomposition objects by supplying combustibles other than char to a combustion furnace in thermal decomposition of org. raw materials. CONSTITUTION:Raw materials to be thermally decomposed such as biomass, municipal refuse and the like fed through a dryer 33 to a thermal decomposition furnace 1, where they are thermally decompose by the endothermic reaction of thermal decomposition. Part of the produced gas is recirculated to the furnace 1 and is supplied as a fluidizing gas. The heat medium lowered of temp. by the endothermic reaction of thermal decomposition is fed by carrying the char content produced at the same time to a lifting mechanism 26. Here, the char content burns by reacting with the air lifting the heat medium and further it is perfectly burned by the fluidized bed of a combustion furnace 2, by which its temp. is raised. The oil and tar separated with a water treatment device 30 for condensate are also fed to the fluidized bed of the furnace 2 and are burned as well. By this mechanism, various org. raw materials are used as burning materials and the yield of the gases produced by thermal decomposition is improved.
