Abstract
PURPOSE: To make the recovery and supply operations of balls simple and easy by inserting a slider of specific construction into a casing provided with fluid passage ports consisting of an inflow port and an outflow port as one set by a number of sets equal to the number of units of tubular membrane separating modules water- tightly.
CONSTITUTION: A cleaning ball (e) existing in one chamber d1 in a distributor B is passed through a ball supply and recovery device C and a tubular membrane separating module D by raw liquid flow and arrives at the inside of the other chamber d2, from which it is again shifted into the chamber d1 by a rotary partition plate (b). When the ball (e) is worn, it is replaced with a fresh ball by using the device C. Namely, if a communicating hole 8 is aligned to the flow passage port 2 of the casing 1 by sliding a slider 3 of the device C, the ball enters a ball recovery chamber 71 through an inflow port 21 and is captured. The slider 3 is returned to the home position, a plug body 9 is removed, the ball is removed, a fresh ball is put into a ball supply chamber 72, and the plug body 9 is remounted. The fresh ball is then supplied to the module D through the hole 8 and the port 2 by sliding the slider 3, thence the slider 3 is returned to the home position.
