Abstract
PURPOSE:To adjust the oscillation frequency comparatively easily, by trimming a resistance pattern formed on an integrated circuit to vary the bias voltage given to a varactor diode. CONSTITUTION:In case of the adjustment of the frequency of a quartz oscillator (hybrid IC type), a frequency meter is connected to an output terminal 1, and thin film resistances R1 and R2 are trimmed by a laser beam for resistance trimming adjustment, and resistances R1 and R2 are adjusted to determine the capacity of a varactor diode so that the frequency of the quartz oscillator becomes a desired value, thus obtaining a desired frequency. By this method, the frequency adjustment is simplified comparatively, and the power source is stabilized to obtain an accurate oscillation frequency.
