Abstract
PURPOSE:To execute an optimum assignment of each page of a main storage device, by providing the means for storing the use history of each page, and also for changing the use history. CONSTITUTION:When a processing device 11 or 11a accesses a main storage device 12, its page address is informed to an address history device 13 through an address path 15. As a result, in the history device 13, both the latest page address and the oldest page address that is not accessed are saved, and also the use sequence is stored. Also, in accordance with the instruction for changing the sequence sent from the processing device 11, this page address is changed to a position of the oldest page address that has been accessed in this use sequence. When such a history device is used, an optimum assignment of each page of the main storage device is executed.
