Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the magnification of a finder by interposing a magnifier lens system composed of two positive and negative lenses, between a pentagonal prism and an eyepiece. CONSTITUTION:Between the pentagonal prism P and eyepiece L3 of a finder system having a focal plate Re, the system of a positive lens L1 and a negative lens L2 is interposed to obtain a magnification mode. This lens system is moved back to obtain a normal mode. In this case, respective lens characteristics of the interposed lens system should meet requirements as shown by the equation. In the figure, phi1 is the refractivity of the positive lens L1, phi2 is the refractivity of the negative lens L2, and DELTA is the sum of the principal-point interval of the positive lens L1 and that of the negative lens L2; and S1 is the optical distance from the front principal point of the lens L1 to the focal plane Re, and (d) is the distance between the principal points of the lenses L1 and L2.
