Abstract
PURPOSE: To remove spatter adhered to a torch nozzle and prevent vibration by advancing and retreating a wire brush mechanism toward the tip of the torch nozzle after fixing the torch nozzle by a chuck mechanism.
CONSTITUTION: When a torch nozzle 4 is intruded between V grooves of a chuck mechanism 3, a whisker 53a of a limit switch 53 comes into contact with the torch nozzle 4. The switch 53 outputs a signal to rotate a motor 33. By this, a wire brush 34 and a driving axis 11 are rotated. When the driving axis rotates, the wire brush 34 goes up, while rotating, along the axis of the torch nozzle 4 and removes the spatter in the torch nozzle 4. At this time, no vibration occurs in the nozzle 4 or arm and no abnormal force is applied to cause breakage as the torch nozzle 4 is fixed by the chuck mechanism 3.
