Abstract

The rotary mounting secures the head of a rear view driving mirror on a supporting bar, and has a socket with a first passage accommodating the end of the bar (2) and also a second passage (10) joining onto the first one (6) at one end, and at the other onto a hemispherical cup (11) accommodating the similarly-shaped mirror head (1a). An elastic connection (9) in the second passage attaches the bar to the mirror head, so as to provide a resilient mounting for the mirror in case it strikes an obstruction. The connection can be secured to a hemispherical cup (13) inside the mirror head.
