Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity for methane, by constituting by indium oxide as the main component and adding a prescribed quantity of dysprosium and oxides of the nodle metals. CONSTITUTION:The following oxides are mixed so as to contain 200-80wt% dysprosium oxide and 0.06-10wt% palladium oxide of the whole effective components and 79.94-10wt% indium oxide. A prescribed quantity of this mixed power is weighed and said power is press-formed in columnar element shape buried a platinum electrode and having 2mm.phi diameter and 2mm. length and a gas sensitive body is formed on condition of baking at 600-800 deg.C, for three hours and in air. This gas sensitive body has the sensitivity for gaseous methane which is nearly the same level sensitivity for gaseous isobutane and gaseous hydrogen.
