Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase stereophonic ambience through improving a sound expansion feeling from a speaker system by selecting the desired correlation coefficient between output signals. CONSTITUTION:A stationary irregular signal e(t) is inputted to an adder 2 through a delay element 1 and, simultaneously, applied to an adder 4 after being inverted by a phase inversion circuit 3. The stationary irregular signal e(t) is also inputted to the adders 2, 4 directly. Respective outputs A(t), B(t) from these adders, 4 are applied to variable attenuators 5, 6 whose attenuation quantities are controlled by each control signal CONT, and are attenuated. Outputs from the attenuators 5, 6 are processed by adders 7, 9 and an inversion circuit 8. Respective outputs OUT1, OUT2 from the adders 7, 9 are used as two signals with a desired correlation coefficient.
