Abstract

PURPOSE:To operate a printing wire smoothly and correctly, in a dot impact type printing head, by forming a guide bore of a printing wire into a tapering form over an entire length to enhance durability of the printing wire and a resin guide. CONSTITUTION:To a front surface of a printing head, a wire guide member is provided and said guide member is constituted from a lid body connected and fixed to a front surface of a contact element support member and a resin guide 13b fixed to a center part of said lid body by a pin. The resin guide has a straight guide bore 15 corresponding to each wire formed therethrough and formed into a tapering shape wherein an inner diameter D1 of a side adjacent to a flap contact element 10 of each guide bore is set a little larger than a diameter d of the printing wire 12 as well as an inner diameter D2 of a free end side of the printing wire is set almost equal to that of the printing wire. Therefore, friction resistance of the printing wire during printing operation is made low and high speed printing is enabled.
