Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a stirred mixing tank capable of forming high-dense flocs in a short time with a high stirring efficiency by partitioning a vertical inner cylindrical tank in a staggered manner by vertical tubes and baffle plates in such a way as to form zigzagged flow paths. CONSTITUTION:The inside of a vertical cylindrical tank 1 whose lower part is provided with a liquid chamber 5 into which a liquid to be treated and a liquid to be added are introduced is partitioned by vertical tubes 7 whose lower end is opened toward the upper plate of the liquid chamber 5 and the upper end is opened toward the space inside the tank 1 and baffle plates 8 in staggered manner in such a way as to form zigzagged flow paths in the vertical direction. When secondarily treated water in sewage treatment plant, etc., is treated in the stirred mixing tank 1, the mixing of liquids is well performed because they go up in the vertical tubes and then go down in the zigzagged flow paths, and high-dense flocs are thus formed. Thus, high-dense flocs can be formed with a high stirring efficiency and also a shortened stirring time.
