Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain easily and inexpensively a dry toner developing device having a lightweight and complex magnetic pole structure by forming the magnetic roll of the device with a columnar core and a resin bound magnetic layer of a magnetic of an intermetallic compound of rare earth metals. CONSTITUTION:The columnar core 6 of a magnetic roll is made of plastics or the like, and a resin-bound magnetic layer 7 of a magnet of an intermetallic compound of rare earth metals is wound around the core 6. The layer 7 is hardened before of after the winding, and it is magnetized thoroughly after the winding. Since the core 6 is made of plastics or the like, the weight is reduced, and the resin-bound magnetic layer 7 is formed into various shapes easily and inexpensively. Ferromagnetism several times as high as that of a ferrite magnet or the like is obtd. easily, so reduction in size and weight is attained easily.
