Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the regidity of the entire brush member as well as to enable to stably retain the brush member by a method wherein a bent piece, to be formed by bending the edge part of the side of a terminal section in longitudinal direction, is provided and an arm section is constituted by directly bending from the terminal section. CONSTITUTION:A press-punching process is performed on the brush member material, consisting of a conductive metal plate having a high conductivity such as copper, beryllium and the like, to form it into the shape wherein an arm section 10 and the terminal section 11 are formed in a body in the press-punching process. Also, at the bent section (shown by two-dot chain line) between the arm section 10 and the terminal section 11, a rigid reinforcement section 13 is provided by performing an embossing work, and a raised piece 15 which was formed by raising the terminal section 11 is provided. Through these procedures, the retaining effect of the brush member is increased, the vibration generating from rotation can be prevented, workability is improved by having a simple constitution, and the workability when an assembling work is performed can also be improved.
