Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formulaI(R1 and R2 are H, methyl or ethyl; R3 is methyl or ethyl; R4 is methyl or phenyl; R5 is H or methyl; R6 is -CH2-, -CH2O-, -CH2SCH2, etc.; a is 1, 2 or 3 or 4; l is 0 or 1; m is 2,3 or 4; n is a positive integer ≥1).
USE: A curable composition useful for a sealing material, electrical insulating material, etc.
PROCESS: A polysulfide compound expressed by formula II is stirred with a silane compound, having isopropenyloxy groups, and expressed by formula III in toluene, and an aminosilane compound expressed by formula IV is added thereto. The reaction is then carried out at 50°C for 3hr. After the reaction is completed, the toluene and excess compound expressed by formula III are removed to give the compound expressed by formulaI.
