Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve muffler efficiency and prevent a weight increase, by employing a crossmember as an exhaust pipe.
CONSTITUTION: A first muffler 3 is connected to a crossmember 4 of a frame 6 by a connecting pipe 5, and exhaust gas is led to its interior. An exhaust tail pipe is provided on the other lower end of the crossmember 4. The exhaust gas from an engine 1 is led to the first muffler 3 through an exhaust pipe 2, which is muffled once and is exhausted after further remuffling of the same by utilizing the interior of the crossmember 4 as a second muffler. It is not only fully effective in its muffling effect but also preventive in its weight increase as the crossmember 4 is utilized as the muffler effectively, and a space of a limited engine room can be utilized effectively.
