Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a high quality reversal image free from a ground stain by preparing a magnetic toner contg. a specified copolymer for a plasticizer and an additive resin selected from a group of specified resins and having a specified electric conductivity. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic toner contg. 40-60wt% magnetic powder to the total amount of the toner is prepared using a resin component whose principal component is about 30wt% polyethylene wax or amide wax to the total amount of the toner. The wax contains <=10wt% ethylenevinyl acetate copolymer as a plasticizer to the total amount of the toner and 0.5-10wt% additive resin selected from a group consisting of bisphenol type epoxy resin, styrene resin, acrylic resin and styreneacrylic copolymer. The resulting toner has <=10<-10>OMEGA<-1>cm<-1> electric conductivity in an electric field with 4,000V/cm DC and gives a high quality reversal image free from a ground statin with an electrostatic copier or the like especially using zinc oxide paper.
