Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufature a simple and accurate device for binding test, by holding a testing substance (pressure welded reinforcing bar) between two pieces of supporting boards, each of which has a replaceable supporting pillow and is insatlled at the front end of the cylinder, and by cutting of the testing object by extruding a pressure ram from the cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder 1 has a pressure ram 4 which works by means of oil pressure or air pressure, and high pressure is applied to the ram 4 through a high pressure hose fitting port 2 installed at the opposite side of the cylinder 1. Then, two pieces of supporting boards 3a and 3b which hold the pressure ram 4 betwen them, are fitted to the cylinder 1. Inserting holes 6a and 6b for supporting pillows 5a and 5b are installed to the supporting board 3a so as to change their locations in accordance with the dimension of testing objects, and a window 7 which is used for watching the contacting condition between the pressure ram 4 and the testing object (pressure welded reinforcinb bars) is also installed to the supporting board 3a. The stesting object 9 is cut off by the pressure of the pressure ram 4 while the testing object 9 is maintained between the supporting pillows 5a and 5b, and the flat fractures are checked. In this way, it is checked easily with this device at field whether welding is feasibile or not for the reinforcing bar which is suitable for various applications. This device is also be used effectively for checking a welding technique and training.
