Abstract

1492302 Combination clamping and gauging device H R HOLMES (DIECASTING) & CO Ltd 20 April 1976 [15 April 1975] 15369/75 Headings B4W and B4X A clamping device comprises a bar 10, a pair of opposing jaws 12, 13 slidable along the bar, one, 12, of which has a clamping screw 14 for fixing it at any location on the bar, a fixed abutment 15 at one end of the bar mounting a vice screw 16 for bearing on the other, 13, of said jaws, and calibrations on the bar enabling it to be used as a measuring gauge. A G-clamp 17 may be provided for securing the bar to a table and a work platform 21 for use as an anvil, square or fretwork work platform may be mounted on the G-clamp. An aperture 23 for a scriber provides for use of the device as a marking gauge.
