Abstract
PURPOSE: To utilize the combustion energy of pyrolyzed gas by a method wherein a part of the pyrolyzed gas from the refuse melting furnace is branched off in a gas vent piping and re-injected, through a cooling unit, a dust collector, an ejector and the like, in the refuse melting furnace together with the pulverized coal.
CONSTITUTION: A part of the pyrolyzed gas 6 branched off in the gas vent pipe 19 at the halfway of the exhaust flue 7 of the pyrolyzed gas has the temperature of about 450°C and yet its temperature is lowered to the order of about 300°C in the gas cooling unit 21 and, after that, purified by means of the dust collector 22. The purified pyrolyzed gas 20 is sent by means of a medium draft fan 23 to the ejector 24, within which the pulverized coal 27 drawn-out from a pulverized coal storage tank 25 by means of a rotary feeder 26 is mixed with the pyrolyzed gas 20. The pyrolyzed gas 20 containing the predetermined amount of the pulverized coal is led through a conduit 28 to a twyer 17 and re-injected from a pulverized coal injection nozzle 29 equipped at the twyer 17 into the bottom 3 of the furnace together with the combustion air 16 from an air heater 15.
