Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent a detection error even in case when a record is eccentric, by outputting a detecting signal when the sum total in 1 rotation of a record, in which a signal level being proportional to rotation of a tone arm exceeds a prescribed reference level, has exceeded a prescribed reference time.
CONSTITUTION: In case when a record is eccentric, the time when a comparison output is generated from the first comparator 2, that it to say, the time when a speed of a tone arm exceeds a reference speed is a part of 1 rotation of the record, also the speed of the tone arm is reversed against the tracing direction as the case may be when it enters a leading-out groove, therefore, on the contrary, the speed of the tone arm becomes lower than the reference speed in some case. This lowered time, however, is less than the time required for half-rotation of the record. Accordingly, when a reference count value of the second comparator 34 is set, for instance, so as to correspond to the time required for half-rotation of the record, no detection error occurs even if the record is eccentric. According to such constitution, a detection error is prevented.
