Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform a large-size display with a small-size digital switch, by installing a detecting means to detect the state of display of each display segment and accordingly coding the output of the detecting means and then displaying the figure pattern in the >=2 types of different display forms. CONSTITUTION:A figure pattern is formed with plural display segments 1-7, and touch plates 8-14 are distributed in front of the segments 1-7. A lead wire of each touch plate is connected to lead terminals P1-P7 of an electric circuit respectively. Then FF circuits 21a-21g are connected to the terminals P1-P7 via switching circuits 15a-15g. These circuits are reset by a switch 24 to set the segments 1-7 under the non-display state. The state of display of each segment is inverted to another state of display by a driving means 22 when the segments touch the plates 8-9 respectively. Then the state of display of each segment is detected by an encoder 23, and the detection output of the encoder 23 is coded. Thus a figure pattern can be displayed in the >=2 types different display forms with the same numerical value.
