Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent leakage, fractional evaporation, and the like from the tip of a needle by decreasing the temperature at an injection point lower than the temperature of a heating tank at the time of injection, and by increasing the temperature to the extent required for measurement after the injection. CONSTITUTION:An injector 1 is removed. A sample introducing part 3 is moved so that the position of the injecting poit 6 is 10mm. higher than a heat insulating wall 8 with a cock 3 closed. The temperature of the heating tank 7 is maintained at 100 deg.. Then the sample of 6mul is sucked in the injector 1. The temperature of the injecting point is adjusted with cold air or warm air so that it becomes 42 deg.C. An injecting needle 2 is entirely inserted in the sample introducing part 3 so that its tip reaches the injecting point 6. Then the injection of the sample is finished after about 20 seconds. Thereafter the injecting needle 2 is removed, the cock 4 is closed, and the sample introducing part 3 is approached to the heat insulating wall 8.The injecting point 6 intrudes into the heating tank 7 by about 10mm. from the heat insulating wall 8.
