Abstract

NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formulaI[A is group of formula II (R is alkyl, alkoxy, nitro, halogen; n is 0W3)].
EXAMPLE: The compound of formula III.
USE: A photoconductive material for electrophotography: it shows high sensitivity in short wave-length region.
PREPARATION: The reaction of a tetrazonium salt of formula IV (X is anion) with a compound of formula V gives the compound of fomula I. The reaction is effected in a solvent such as DMF in the presence of an alkali such as sodium acetate. The reaction temperature is -W10°C and the time is about 5W30min.
