Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the structure and manufacturing of a playback head while increasing recording density, by recording an information signal and a tracking signal on the same recording track by superposing them, and by reproducing them by the playback head constituted by forming electrode parts in one body. CONSTITUTION:On respective recording tracks T1-T3 information signals and tracking signals having a lower and different single frequency are recorded as superposed. The playback electrode 1 of a playback head 2 is constituted by forming a main electrode part M and subordinate electrodes S1 and S2, corresponding to three recording tracks T1-T3, on an insulating base BS in one body. The output of the playback head 2 is passed through an HPF4, a demodulator 9 and an amplifier 10 to obtain an output 11 of a demodulated signal. Part of the output, on the other hand, is inputted to a comparing circuit 18 through BPFs 5-8, rectifying circuits 13-15, and switch circuits SW1-SW3, and the tracking signal is supplied to the playback head 2. Consequently, the recording density is increased and the structure and manufacture of the playback head 2 are simplified.
