Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve driving sensation, by a method wherein a joint body is pivotably secured to a car body side so that it can freely rock vertically, and a cushioning motion of rear wheels is conducted like a swing arm on the whole in a manner to perform a rolling motion.
CONSTITUTION: Rear wheels 21 rock vertically centering around a whole point 8 functioning as a swing arm and a pin 12 acting as a fulcrum. The rocking is absorbed, damped, and cushioned by an axial rocking of a rear cushioning unit 13 placed between a joint body 9 and a rear frame part 2d. Rolling motion and a cushioning motion, produced by a vertical rocking, are conducted in combination. A relation of the joint body 9 to an intersection point P of an axis line N of a shaft 10 and a center A of an axle 20 is set into a fixing state because the joint itself rocks vertically togetherwith the axle and the distance between the joint and the axle does not changes. As a result, the two rear wheels contact a ground in a stable manner, and the cushioning motion and the rolling motion are performed in a state that the two rear wheels contact a ground surface in a better manner.
