Abstract

The suspension comprises a transversely horizontally disposed spring/shock absorber unit which is connected to the wheel suspensions on both sides of the vehicle. As illustrated, the unit is connected via a pair of bell cranks ('rocker units') and a connecting rod, to the lower wishbones of a double wishbone type suspension. The arrangement is such that vertical movement of one wheel is transferred at least in part, via the spring/shock absorber unit to vertical movement of the opposing wheel, but in the opposite sense. Only the portion of movement not absorbed by the shock absorber unit is transferred to the other wheel. <IMAGE>

Description

THE DOLL TRACTION SYSTEM DESCRIPTION The system comprises of a single damper unit with a coil spring fitted to it , to become a single unit , this is connected at either and by rocker units which enable movement left to right and vice versa . A rod (one for each rocker unit) is connected to either a lower wishbone suspension part or to an upright /kingpin which about the vehicles wheel rotates . the other end of the reaction rod to the rocker unit

Claims (1)
