Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the amount of NOX and enable to securely detect an incomplete combustion by a method wherein a flame rod is provided in a combustion chamber which has secondary flame holes over a primary flame hole part and the combustion is controlled by a constant ionic current, in an open-type home combustor. CONSTITUTION:A primary combustion chamber 7 is provided in a manner of coverig the primary flame hole part 6 of a combustion unit 1, and the secondary flame hole 8 having a flame holeaperture area larger than that of the primary flame hole part 6 is provided at an upper part of the combustion chamber 7. In addition, primary combustion flames 10 derives from only the primary air are formed at the primary hole part 6 in the primary combustion chamber 7, and the flame rod 9 is placed in the primary flames 10. The ionic current generated at the flame rod 9 is detected by a control circuit 12 and the combustion is controlled. Accordingly, a low-cost low-NOX combustor capable of securely detecting an incomplete combustion can be obtained.
